Also known as search engine advertising, Pay-Per-Click (PPC) or Cost-Per-Click (CPC), the technique by which a search engine devotes advertising space on its search results page to display links to the advertiser’s website based on the quality of the ad and the bid for each click. Paid search contrasts with organic search, for which no payment is made to the search engine for delivering traffic.
